Stodir acquired a significant stake in Refresco, the Dutch manufacturer of private label fruit juice and soft drinks, in 2006 and currently owns a 40,3% stake in the company. Since acquiring Refresco, Stodir has supported a successful “buy and build” strategy which consists of growing the company organically as well as making strategic acquisitions in Europe. Refresco is currently Europe's largest manufacturer of private label fruit juice and soft drinks.
Refresco's turnover in 2009 amounted to EUR 1.14 billion. At Refresco, approximately 2,300 people work at the Company's 19 factories in eight European countries. Refresco's Chief Executive Officer is Hans Roelofs.
