“A lighthouse in which the viewer becomes the light“
The Library of Water, located at Stykkisholmur in the Western part of Iceland just north of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, houses a collection of water, gathered as ice from some of the major glaciers in Iceland. which is stored transparent and still, in a constellation of glass columns which flow through the interior, reflecting and refracting the light outside and illuminating the interior as it becomes dark.
